Digital board hardware validation

A board that powers up still needs evidence that it behaves as intended. FusionXVision supports structured bring-up and hardware validation, connecting electrical measurements to the requirements and operating conditions of your design.

Where we can help

  • Check supply rails, power sequencing and behaviour during startup and shutdown.
  • Investigate clocks, reset signals and digital interfaces with appropriate measurement access.
  • Reproduce functional issues and separate observations from suspected hardware or firmware causes.

How we approach the work

We review the schematic, relevant device requirements and known symptoms before selecting test points and operating conditions. Measurements are recorded with the setup and configuration needed to interpret them. Findings are then used to guide debugging, corrective work and repeat checks.

What the handover can include

An assignment can produce a bring-up checklist, measurement captures, a requirements-based test record and a prioritised issue list. The agreed report distinguishes tested behaviour, open questions and conditions that have not yet been covered.

A useful starting point

Useful starting material includes schematics, board revisions, power requirements, interface descriptions, firmware versions and the behaviour you want to investigate. If documentation is incomplete, we can first agree a focused investigation.

Does this include high-speed digital interfaces?

High-speed interface work can be scoped around the design and available measurement setup. Interface standard, data rate, probing access and required evidence determine the appropriate approach; a functional check is not automatically a compliance test.
